Wow, Outlaw Star is great! ✨

It's not amazing like Ghost in the Shell, Mushishi, or Ghibli movies.
The story is very basic, the visuals and action are simple, and the audio is serviceable, but it's really fun and engaging.

Perhaps started a little bit slower in the first and second episode, but then it really takes off and doesn't waste any time. Given how basic the plot is, I think the pacing is quite excellent. The humor is silly, but the tone does stay consistent. 👍

I finally got around to watch the first episode of Outlaw Star, because it sounds very much like the kind of stuff I'm into these days.

Like most 90s anime, the production values are not that great, and the pacing isn't very good.
But the story really does kick off halfway through the first episode.

This is so much better than Cowboy Bebop. (Which is soulcrushingly dull and boring.)

And according to numbers on screen, it's set in the distant future of 2011. 😆
