The family and I had a lovely day out for halfterm seeing the chicks, lamb, piglets and of course the Dinosaurs! Plus it was Dotties first day out to the farm - and she slept the entire time! My mum had a go on the skyrider, my nephew decided to have a nap on a wheel swing and the kids all enjoyed picnicing in the sunshine (we got lucky with the weather!) We went on a hunt for E.B and met Hopkins in the Potting Shed, helped solve a Gardener Rabbitโ€™s biggest Easter conundrum, met the Egg Box Artist - turning every egg into a masterpiece (loved the bubbles that appeared too) danced in the Chocolate Factory with Coco the Chocolatier, while finding out all about creating the perfect chocolate egg with some Easter magic! The chocolate factory also smelt so so good - chocolate of course! Then at the end the kids received an Easter Egg which they gladly tucked into! We were lucky to of been gifted PR Tickets for this event and I'm so pleased we did! It really felt like a whole bucket list for halfterm ticked off! Managed to get alot of activities crossed off: โ€ข Mini golf โ€ข Met the animals on the farm - Little bunnies, chick's, there was a pregnant cow, calves, lambs etc. Plus other cute creatures like birds, donkey, alpacas and tortoises. โ€ขIndoor Soft Play - another area to tire them out! โ€ขAdventure Playground - the kids loved the giant slide and the silos. โ€ข Archery - Winnie didn't participate as she was too focused on chocolate. โ€ข Tractor Ride where we saw a sheep with her little lambs. โ€ข Air Cannon Arena - kids spent ages in there just blasting each other with soft balls. โ€ข Milking Demonstration of the lambs. โ€ข Go karting. We took a yummy picnic and ate in the sunshine but there is a cafe on site (they sell fruit tea which I was happy about), plus toilet facilities and a gift shop where there are alsorts of farm related foodies and branded gifts to take home! I've been taking the kids to Rand Farm since they were young and I always enjoy taking them - gets them off tech and into the fresh air and engaging with other children and animals. 10/10 Easter Activity ๐ŸคŒ"

The variety of prickly species here in Valle de los Cirios is breathtaking. So unique! And it's a good thing that Tomte has just learned to walk! That saves us from having a lot of prickles in his little hands.

We love camping. The fresh air that blows through the mesh at night, the perfected, minimalist home, cooking in front of the tent, mostly surrounded by nature, the patter of the rain, the birdsong in the early morning hours, the scent of the forest... It's so much fun looking for a suitable place to spend the night. Where do we want to set up our house today? We want our son to experience this magic.
