On my way to a 4 hour #bigband rehearsal with #ostalbjazzorchestra and #axelschlosser in preparation for our concert in Ellwangen in June. Still tired from last night’s #blues gig in #tuebingen – but really looking forward to seeing Axel again after ~10 years.
Pre soundcheck pic from last night. Tonight we‘re playing with the Porsche Big Band at the Forum (Peutinger-Gymnasium) in Ellwangen. Entry at 5:30pm, Porsche Big Band will start off at 6pm, play one hour, a short break to switch bands on stage, then we‘ll play for ~1 hour. This was one of the headache generating songs from yesterday’s big band gig: Georgia… It’s rather slow, so I have to keep the pressure on for quite some time (e.g. bars 26-28 or bars 51-52)… Very cool music, but exhausting… #trumpet #bigband #OstalbJazzOrchestra #concert #music
