The first successful portable computer (a proto-laptop) was unveiled on #ThisDayInHistory in 1981. The #Osborne1 cost 1800, used the #DigitalResearch OS CP/M, weighed 25 lbs, and had to be plugged in. It came with a large & valuable software bundle, setting an industry standard.

#Osborne1 - 1981 - Die Zeit, als #Disketten-Laufwerke größer als der Bildschirm waren 🙂 … war aber einer der ersten transportablen Computer.
