Childhood Memories
I love that there is old Organ Grinder footage coming up now especially as it was an era before cell phone videos. Here is Jonas Nordwall playing a “set” in the 70’s at the Organ Grinder in Portland, OR. Imagine having to adapt TV show theme songs and popular rock tunes of the era to this instrument, 7 days a week for decades! They all had such MAD skills to pull it off.

This was my favorite pizza place growing up. I remember this set (Tiny Bubbles - usually played once an hour). I also remember thinking about the bubbles messing up my pizza lol.

I really do miss this place. Glad there were camcorders around to capture it and it is finally making it onto the internet. Also, if you have a few dollars to spare, follow the link to the crowd funding shop on the page and donate to this project.

Organ grinders, a fixture of Parisian street life in the 19th and early 20th centuries, brought their unique sounds and spectacles to the city's public spaces. These musicians entertained crowds in squares, gardens, and along boulevards, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of Paris. Today, their legacy is kept alive through occasional performances and historical accounts.
