Last week was the only week in over 3 years without a single hike for me. Not just due to the bad weather, but also because I was a bit sick. Even though the symptoms were mild, I didn't want to risk making things worse...

But today, we had real summer weather (too hot for me already, but luckily enough clouds so not permanent sunshine), and I figured if I was good enough to go to work during the week, I would be good enough to go for a hike too. I was right.

I went following a tractor trail deeper into the forest (photo 2) which I believed to be a dead end (it's a dead end on OpenStreetmap, and satellite images also showed no visible tracks), but it actually took some turns and opened up to some small grassy trails (photo 3) and I eventually ended up on the official trails again. Not exactly a shortcut, but not much of a detour either.
