@dunglas I agree the contribution system suggested by #OpenSourcePledge is somehow too restrictive.
Your company structure could use a percentage of net benefit and that would be great because it better fits into your current budget and isn't necessarily dependent on the number of devs you have, but rather the success of the company's business
Why is the #OpenSourcePledge contribution a multiple of the number of developers in the company and not of the total number of employees?
End-users of open-source projects, sales people, support teams, HR etc. benefit as much, if not more, from FOSS than developers.
Delighted that the company I work for, #Tideways, is so transparent (and active) with its open-source contributions.
