The Fediverse isn’t “the alternative to Big Tech.” It’s older than most of it.

Email works because it’s a protocol, not a platform. The Fediverse works the same way.

☑ Different servers.
☑ Shared standards.
☑ Real interoperability.

You don’t sign up to Mastodon.
You join a server on Mastodon, and suddenly the whole network is available.

Oweo doesn’t abstract that away.
It makes it visible, legible, and pleasant.

All closed source, usually commercial, software comes with a hidden sell-by-date. For whatever reason — a merger, a hostile takeover, a new management paradigm, incompatible OS update, a bad financial year — someone you will never know can pull a rug and —puff— it's gone.
