Back at @[email protected] today—an event I was proud to win last year—so I was really hoping for another strong showing. Off the tee I gave myself loads of great chances, put the ball in good spots, close to the greens… but the short game just didn’t show up.

Chipping, which is usually a real strength of mine, just let me down today. Frustrating, especially on a course I know well and enjoy playing. Gutted not to defend the title, but that’s golf sometimes—just a few shots can make all the difference.

Another one down. WARPATH final draft sent to editor. My goal was 80,000 words — turned out quite a bit longer than that (the red is the overrun). Final draft took five weeks.
