While not NWR's best film, it is an intriguing addition to his canon, & visually stylish as one would expect. Gosling, of course, performs excellently, even with only 17 lines of dialogue.

A slow-burn, neo-noir pulp flick. The second film between Gosling & Nicolas Winding Refn, it certainly goes in to more "out-there" territories than 2011's 'Drive'. It is one to divide opinion in an audience. It was both boo'd, & received a standing ovation, at Cannes.
