BillieThe #oneplus3t has a flat cable connecting the battery to the main board running on top of the battery. So it might be that a slight increase in volume of the battery damaged the cable by friction, and the low temperature in some way restored the connection?

My #oneplus3t died. Did not start, did not charge. Cleaned the usb-c port, still did not charge. (It has a notification #led which remained dark, indicating that nothing was happening.) Nevertheless, I left it charging for >24h with no effect.
TL;DR: 100% dead.
As a wild guess with a completely dead phone, I put it for approx. 10h in the refrigerator (roughly somewhere around 5°C), as some urban legends around this exist.
After getting it out, it started booting and went off after some seconds.
After connection to the pc (#adb, you know) it booted successfully into #lineageos and I was able to do a backup followed by a factory reset.
The battery stayed at 0% while the phone was on. After the factory reset, it even seems to charge properly.
Question: what did the low temperature do?
HugoPoiI'm sad, my phone isn't supported anymore by #LineageOs, it's a #OnePlus3T 2016. The provided drivers for Linux are for 3.8 kernels and Lineage 19 only support > 4.x branch. I'm using the #MicroG build, I have just seen that even the archives has been dropped. I might build 18.1 my self to update, the other solution is to used /E/ which have community build for this device. Anyway we really need to force manufacturer to release sources and documentation for hardware ...
Versuche gerade, auf einem #oneplus3t die neueste #firmware wieder drauf zu machen, um dann mal #ubuntu #touch zu testen.
Das mit der #firmware nach #lineageos will nicht so... die #lineageos #recovery wollte nicht flashen, die #stock #recovery wollte auch nicht.
#twrp hat es dann getan, und nun warte ich seit 4 Minuten ob es nun wirklich startet oder nicht und schaue so auf die #oneplus Bälle...

Tempo totale d'installazione via terminale da Fedora 36: 25 minuti compresa la lettura della documentazione. Ora ho un telefono completamente degooglizzato da cui poter fare qualche esperimento carino. Per esempio: si può vivere senza Google nel 2022? #opensource

CryptGoatTjo, ich werde mich wohl von meinem #Pixel4a mit #CalyxOS verabschieden müssen. Das Gerät hatte durch einen Unfall schon eine ganz leichte Biegung im Gehäuserahmen, allerdings ohne jegliche Funktionseinschränkungen. Ein paar Monate und ein wenig Spritzwasser später funktioniert der Touchscreen leider nur noch eingeschränkt. Übergangsweise geht es wohl zurück zu meinem alten #Oneplus3T mit #LineageOS, wo der Akku leider nicht besonders langlebig ist. Noch weiß ich nicht, wie es weiter geht. Vllt. langfristig ein #Fairphone4, sobald googlefreie ROMs verfügbar sind? Doch wieder was Gebrauchtes? Smartphones sind aktuell leider ziemlich teuer...

Hatte ich auch so beim #oneplus3t. Mit #LineageOS18 ging aber was mit Camera2 Api schief, da waren die Bilder nicht mehr lesbar.

Bin mit gebrauchten Oneplus Geräten mit puren #linageos ohne Google Services bisher gut gefahren. Hatte 2J #oneplus2, dann 3J #oneplus3t und jetzt #oneplus6. Immer aus zweiter Hand und sehr gut unterstützt durch #lineageos. Kann ich nur empfehlen.
Lange hatte ich gar keine #closedsource apps auf dem Ding, jetzt mal wieder #gcammod mit gekappten Berechtigungen und #gcamserviceprovider. #opencamera macht einfach schlechtere Photos.
