i put two stickers on the water dispenser that say "NEEDS EMPTYING AND CLEANING" in clear line of sight. put there BY ME to make sure *I* can see it.

within 24 hours i absentmindedly filled my water bottle with the dirty water. my roommate luckily caught me before i took a sip, but then had me take an embarrassing video about it so i wouldn't forget this moment
