The good thing about this particular #MamiyaU is it has the flexible cover over the shutter button. This was always a serious weakness. We've obviously had ours replaced; I remember it being red, but now it's green!

I rather like the #OlympusStylus (mju 1). The shape makes it easier to hold and (particularly) to open, compared to the mju 2. I have one of the latter, always in my jacket pocket loaded with economy (!) colour film for when it's needed. 3/n

The cameras that Mrs R found in a drawer were an #OlympusStylus (aka mju 1), and an even older #MamiyaU. The Stylus I got for her on 42nd St NYC. Got it home, didn't work. No warranty because "grey import". Also, cost me more than UK price of the later mju 2 model! £40 to get it going again. Shafted!

Not sure when we got the Mamiya; I always rather liked it. Zone focusing, sliding window to turn on and reveal the lens, but a simpler design than the mjus. 1/n
