I've been studying..doing the Italian vocabulary app again since October. March I'll flip to Czech for the month.

And it'll be 2 months of Italian, 1 of Czech, again, this year. (Hopefully.)

I'm amused by the word amicizia (🇮🇹) because in Portuguese we changed the word, but in Italian they kept the Latin (amicitia), changing only the consonant sounds (k/ch, t/ts).

(The word came to me, because of lines. In Portuguese it's pauta, in this sense. (Lines in a notebook.)

We lost the word femĭna in Portuguese. They kept it in Gallia: femme (Fr.). I'm not sure about Italian, although the common word for woman is donna (from domĭna). In Portuguese we use mulher (from mulier), that is correlated to uir. Femina is correlated to homo. We kept adjectives, though.

homme, femme
uomo, donna (femminile)
homem, mulher (feminino)

I do have one friend on the app that has been there for maybe 10 years, but she isn't quite enthusiast about the app itself, she just uses it. (Which is nice too.)
