There's this disused railway that runs through our town and has been a walking path for the 50 odd years I've been alive. I've walked down it thousands of times, but recently discovered there's this hidden viaduct underneath it. I had no idea it was there!

The arches are pretty much hidden from view, and the surrounding land has been converted into a garden. It's not clear who owns or cares for the garden.... It's a real magical mystery.

The remains of the former Partick Central Station (later known as Kelvin Hall Station) under Benalder Street in Glasgow. It was built around 1896 for the Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire Railway, and closed in 1965.

A section of abandoned railway bridge running alongside the River Kelvin at Kelvindale in Glasgow. This was part of the line which ran between Anniesland, Maryhill and Glasgow City Centre via the Botanic Gardens, Kelvinbridge and under Kelvingrove Park.

The Caledonian Railway monogram below an arched window on the former Clydebank Riverside Station constructed for the Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire Railway in 1896. It was probably designed by J.J. Burnet and served trains running between Glasgow and Dumbarton.

In the distance is the former Queen's Dock Hydraulic Power Station, which powered the swing bridge at its entrance and is now occupied by the Clydeside Distillery.

The old railway lines which once ran along the edge of the Clyde between Yorkhill Quay and the goods sheds which stretched along its bank. These lines connected to the main railway network near what is now the Exhibition Centre Station in one direction and Partick Station in the other.

The retained facade of the former High Street Goods Depot on Duke Street in Glasgow. Built by North British Railway in the early 1900s, it replaced the earlier College Station Goods Yard constructed in the 1870s a short distance further south on the original site of Glasgow University. The depot closed in the 1980s and much of it was subsequently demolished.
