My #OkCupid Premium subscription has ended on Monday.
Yesterday, on Tuesday, 5 people liked my profile (but seeing who did is a Premium feature) and several sent me an intro (which is basically a like with an attached message).
That's way more than I got in an average _month_.
This means two things:
1) The algorithm prioritizes OkCupid's revenue and "getting me back" over actual matchmaking.
2) If you want your profile shown to way more people than usual, cancel your subscription.

Kommt aber aus #Magdeburg und will dort nicht weg und ich kann perspektivisch nicht aus #Hannover weg.

Amy Goodman is on Jon Stewart's podcast this week, and it's well worth a listen.
My first TV interview about Match Group was on her show, and it was a live one, just a few hours after the Guardian article came out. If nothing else, it taught me not to do any live interviews again! Still, it was an interesting experience.

The photo deletion comes after an FTC settlement with Clarifai. The company had asked OkCupid — whose executives had invested in Clarifai — to share data in 2014, according to court documents.

I signed up for #OkCupid a week ago and it's nothing but scammers. Any woman that is semi attractive and me to chat on telegram after about three chat messages. Now, I know that real women are usually inundated with people messaging them, so I don't hold it against anyone if they don't message back, but it would be nice if, say, 1 in 20 were real and responded.
