@petsfluence I agree with this sentiment, because I had a “pet friendly” office that people brought their pets in to work. And yes it was very nice and made us all feel good. Unfortunately there was an employee who was a “helicopter parent” for their pet and made you feel very uncomfortable when it came lunchtime and the pet would beg for food. IMHO people who have to control their pets to the point of making others miserable shouldn’t bring their pets to work. They are the problem not the pet.

@petsfluence That experience was a very sad one for me. Firstly, the owner allowed the pet to beg and indulged the pet with giving food when they had lunch. Secondly, they would be very upset because the pet would beg from others and they (the owner) couldn’t control what the pet ate. Thirdly, every time I would have lunch I would have to hide and behave like a hungry kitten nervously eating my food so the pet wouldn’t notice, otherwise they would beg and we would both be scolded by owner. 😿

@petsfluence So pet parents and humans alike… can you please be kind to one another? Having pets at the workplace is a good thing not something we should dread .
