Microsoft is disabling Office 2019 for Mac next month

Alrighty then. Very old #MacBook has been taken offline with a big sticky note attached to remind me why. I'm pretty sure the version of #MicrosoftSucks Office is too old to be affected, but I'm not taking any chances. And yeah, time to switch back to #OpenOffice and maybe someday do a #LinuxInstall on some of my old-but-still-working computers.

Microsoft Office 2019 for Mac will stop working on July 13th 2026:

Office 2019 for Mac reached end of support on October 10, 2023, and no longer receives updates. Because Office 2019 cannot be updated to the required version, this issue cannot be resolved by updating or reinstalling Office 2019 for Mac. This is the “perpetual” license going unlicensed, for some definitions of “perpetual“.
A certificate is reportedly expiring.
Potential options include an Office upgrade, LibreOffice, and Apple Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.
