@emaechler I've not actually blogged in a while, but was thinking of re-starting in 2025. I drank lots of WP Coolaid, but stopped blogging and developing on it shortly after the Gutenberg stuff. That felt like the beginning of Matt's end. Since then have dabbled with #OctoberCMS and #eleventy.
@thomastospace at the time there was a substantial fork that's now @classicpress
with the ideal of more open community governance. Will be interesting to see if/how a new fork goes down.

The owners of #OctoberCMS changed the model to "pay up if you want to do anything other than evaluate". But somehow kept it Open Source.

And the only official October distribution is a Docker image. Your web server either supports Docker or it doesn't. So the 'free' evaluation step is a bit pointless.

The project has forked: #WinterCMS is the new one. It's still free and Open Source.

Current official cyberinfo on #RussiaUkraineCrisis / #RussiaNATOCrisis (depending on POV):

"A version of the combination of three attack vectors is currently being considered: #SupplyChainAttack and exploitation of #OctoberCMS [1] and #Log4j [2] vulnerabilities." [hashtags added] [3]

October CMS split to non-free branch in April 2021; runs on php.

October (CMS) - Wikipedia

@lord @DaD Sinon y’a troll qui a dit qu’on devait tous passer à #OctoberCMS donc je relaie

I finally sent out campaign confirmations emails today for https://awesomeness.fund to Help #Makers fight #COVID19!

I've been putting in a lot of #laravel #octobercms work these past couple of weeks, getting it set up.

And hey, I'm using at least a little Fediverse tech with avatars through libravatar.org

So happy birthday to me!
