Kindred (novel) - Wikipedia

I read Octavia Butler's parable of the sower and parable of the talents in quick succession for the first time in the fall of 2024, almost exactly coinciding with the date timeline that begins these stories, and in which she predicted with astonishing prescience many of the ways the US government and social order collapses into lawless and brutal persecution of minority populations, American fascism of the Future.

Habit, in this sense, is not productivity. It is persistence in relationship with the 'felt sense'.
