Monitoring and modelling marine zooplankton in a changing climate - Nature Communications

Zooplankton are a critical link to higher trophic levels and play an important role in global biogeochemical cycles. This Review examines key responses of zooplankton to ocean warming, highlights key knowledge and geographic gaps that need to be addressed, and discusses how better use of observations and long-term zooplankton monitoring programmes can help fill these gaps.

In this paper we talked about student perceptions of #climate risks, understanding of #climatechange and #oceanacidifcation, and how viewing an internet television program affected their understanding and perceptions. The program improved student understanding of ocean acidification and the diversity of climate change related risks. It was also one of only a handful of studies on television programs for climate #sciencecommunication or looking at public knowledge of ocean acidification.
