I’m embarking on home automation, but reading #homeassistant posts over the past few years has me dissolutioned. There seems to be a lot of turnover issues: proprietary #hardware, and pre-ordained #obsolesence. And complicated integrations that fail after being in use.

So is there a #training available that enables a new user to adopt #bestpractices from the start? There seems to be too many novices that slap stuff together and post about it. This is not the way to build a strong open source alternative to corporate offerings.

The device is not even 6 years old. 😠

Dites, question pour Ceux qui Savent :
Quand un smartphone fonctionne toujours bien (hors longévité de batterie, offcuuurse) mais qu'il a dépassé la durée de vie consuméristement (rapport à des mises à jour, tout ça 😑) acceptable, y'a rien à faire pour le sauver ?

J'ai regardé s'il était compatible avec #graphène ou /e/ et ça n'a pas l'air..

J'aime bien quand on me force à choisir entre consommation responsable et sécurité. C'trop l'fun.

#LeMonde a testé le #Fairphone 5, et semble convaincu.

Mais cette réflexion m'interpelle:

"Il n’est pas non plus certain, dans six à huit ans, que le processeur du nouveau Fairphone reste suffisamment vaillant pour faire tourner les menus du mobile de manière fluide, alors que les applications seront devenues plus gourmandes."

Pourquoi ça devrait être normal que les apps soient de + en + gourmandes ?
