The U.S. Supreme Court rejected on Monday a bid by a former Kentucky county official to overturn its landmark 2015 ruling legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide, as the justices steered clear of the contentious case some 3-1/2 years after its conservative majority reversed abortion rights.
At the very least, it means that there aren't 4 justices willing to revisit #Obergefell and give states the opportunity to ban #GayMarriage.
Who was the third vote to revisit Obergefell -- was it Roberts, who'd dissented in the original case?

While the Supreme Court has for now given no indication it would seek to overturn Obergefell, it has in other rulings in the last decade strengthened religious rights at the expense of LGBTQ rights, including by expanding the ability of people to seek exemptions from laws they object to because of their faith.
