I get that #NZSIS thinks it meet the details of the mandated apology to #nickyhager , but quietly taking it down again 2 weeks later certainly isn't in the spirit of the apology, and is frankly pretty disappointing from a organisation that most NZers expect to be high trust

Let alone the naivety of an "Intelligence Service " thinking that taking something down means no record exists

In 2009 a friend got their file. I asked NZSIS if they held a file on me. The NZIS said it would neither confirm nor deny the existence or non-existence of any information about me.

In 2021 I got the same reply.

Under the NZ #Privacy Act, you have the right to ask for personal information about you held by any organisation, business or government agency in New Zealand. Worth a go.
