I'd suggest that of all parties, Green voters are the most loyal. You'll never hear a Green voter saying, "Maybe I'll vote for the guys who want to torch the planet, just for a change."
People vote Green because it aligns with their ethics, their values, their world view.
Anyone deserting the Greens would be philosophically inclined towards Labour or TPM, or if they're gullible enough, TOP.
But NZFirst? That's unnatural.
As far as I can ascertain the opportunist party doesn’t really appear to have any rational or logical basis for existing.
They appear, to me, like a collection of idealists gathered around the single idea of a land tax solving the world’s problems. The Greens on the other hand are a well established political party with a strong ethos of addressing the existential crisis facing the people and planet.
A vote for the opportunists is in my opinion a wasted chance to get the Greens into government, a position they have never held despite being the third most popular NZ political party.
They should have been part of the Jacinda Ardern led coalition government in 2017 but the Winston first party ensured the Greens remained outside of cabinet in a position of confidence and supply.
I highly recommend reading through all the Greens policies (more to be released) and consider the benefits for yourself, your whānau, your community and the future of a sustainable planet before deciding on your vote.
The one thing you can guarantee with #NZGreens is they will remain true to their principles and what they promise.
Perhaps this interview with #NZGreens Party leader Chlöe Swarbrick is why the #NZPol right have started accusing Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown of being #woke.
Campaign season is in full swing on the North Shore.
The team knocked on almost 250 doors today. Over 100 conversations with people around Hauraki Corner about how we need to be doing more, faster, to create good jobs, protect the environment, and ensure we have a tax system that works for all of us.

I couldn’t help but think of Mandami and the New York Knicks’ success in 2026 when Simon Wilson makes the comment about Tamatha Paul saying 2026 is the year for the #NZGreens, which every NZ Warriors fan knows is a dangerous prediction to make too early in the season.

Having finally watched all of this #NZGreens tax policy announcement and press conference I am truly blown away by both Chlöe Swarbrick and Marama Davidson's korero and mana in delivering this policy.
I was feeling lot's of #Mamdani vibes.
Hell, I don't care if they're both appointed #NZPol Prime Minister by voters in 2026. 💚 💚
