Spent a little time at the fox den this evening. Its amazing how much smaller the one kit is than the other. #Nunavut #WildlifePhotography #RedFox
Lots of fog the last couple of days, and down where the family is out on the land as well. Here’s a couple of shots my wife just took down at Ijjijarjuq. A fog bow and a midnight Sun. #Nunavut 📸 Leah Ejangiaq Kines
There they go (round two). My son and family head out again last night after a brief resupply run. This time Leah went with them, so I get to stay home with the dogs. But I also need to get the site for the workshop ready so I can start building. #Nunavut
We made a couple of rinks on the sea ice for the festivities. Kept it up for a few years. #Nunavut #Hockey https://vimeo.com/162333264

‘Father of Nunavut’ returns home to Iqaluit - The Globe and Mail (Ontario Edition) (2026-06-13)

I got a very nice note from the birding clients, just discovered it tonight.

Not only that but the outfitter shared their feedback of the trip. #ImNotWorthy

"The birding has been great. Clare is one of the best birding guides we’ve even had. Very knowledgeable of birds, habitat, history, culture and geology." #Birding #Nunavut

I led a bird tour for a couple of visitors for two days this week. I suspect the quite enjoyed the experience despite a late spring that meant none of our target birds were at one of planned locations. Ponds were still frozen and probably over 50% snow cover.

Wonderful folks. I hope our paths cross again.

We did see an extraordinary amount of White-rumped Sandpipers on my patch where we’d normally only see a few. #Nunavut #Birding

Yesterday’s good hare day. #Nunavut #wildlifePhotography
