Fun facts from chatting with my parents this evening.
My dad's dad was an early adopter of tv when broadcasts first hit their small town; Dad thinks they got a tv set in about 1952. Dad was a tween. He remembers watching a Groucho Marx tv show??
Dad's grandpa - my great-grandpa - was a nudist. Him and his wife and kids and a very few - 2 or 3 - other families would go to this remote area by the river and hang out nude in nature. This was a small town in South Carolina in the 1910's / 1920's ?! This was very unusual.
This carried over to my dad's dad to the extent that he would roam the house nude, but his mom was more modest.
