The former Royal Observers Corp (ROC) Nuclear Monitoring Post in Cardonald Park in Glasgow. Part of the Warning and Monitoring Organisation, it was opened in August 1960 and decommissioned 31 years later in September 1991. In the event of a nuclear war, its purpose was to provide military and civilian authorities with data on nuclear explositions and forecasts of the resulting fallout across the country.
