WTF? #Trump announced that nuclear-weapons tests will be resumed despite the US having signed (but not ratified) the Comprehensive #NuclearTest-Ban Treaty.

As happened numerous times during the ages-old arms race, this move – justified with other nations' alleged #NuclearTests – will provoke a spiral effect, causing more #nuclear powers to do the same.

Once again my congratulations to US voters, including third-party voters.

A day late, but a bit more on my grandmother's experience...

She told me that she witnessed victims of the bomb (hibakusha) arrive at her local train station. She recalls them all shuffling slowly off the train with something dangling off their fingertips - she couldn't tell what that was at first but it was their skin hanging off. They walked with their arms held out lightly bent in front and away from their bodies.
