These days it's commonplace to see artists straddle the worlds of music and fashion, from rappers to producers and songwriters, but Grace Jones did it first, and few since have done it so effortlessly. Born in Jamaica and raised in New York, the supermodel soon became an icon for the city's cutting edge cultural legacy, releasing albums with Island Records that blurred the lines between new-wave, dub, disco, post-punk, & pop, essentially defining 1980s cool. Our latest In Focus is a two hour trip through her sensuous, hybrid discography. This show is currently unavailable in the USA.
I survived the skinheads and other #flagshaggers on the Tube, and made it to New River Studios in Haringay, missing about three bands.
#TheeAlcoholics were great, I was on Bandcamp within two minutes of getting in the venue.

AndreI had quit Spotify long ago and more recently ditched Apple Music because I don't want to support the services that are squeezing the artists.
My replacement consists of two main elements:
1 - FM radio, like our ancestors used to do in when they lived in caves
2 - NTS Radio (https://www.nts.live/)
I'm still procrastinating it, but will subscribe for the perks such as enhanced tracklists. I just wanted to spread the word in case someone is looking for alternatives.
Live radio, and especially radio that focuses on bringing diversity like NTS, is actually pretty refreshing.
