lots of massive big trees down on the talbragar river that had to be knocked down. absolute units. it was sad to see. there is a sydney strike team visiting and they put in a huge effort with the local teams. looks like that's now at patrol which is amazing!
when we were leaving the shed this morning we did see a little juvenile kookaburra that may have been blown out of its nest. it could fly, just not really well. it was gone when we got back so hopefully it got home

another busy arvo, massive grass fire on the golden highway just out of town. trucks from everywhere, choppers, planes, heavy plant, water tankers. massive effort by all
nearly 200 ha all up with multiple homes threatened but saved. there were some sheep that weren't as lucky unfortunately, might seem minor but is a heartbreaking thing to see. we came under threat ourselves on the truck multiple times due to wind changes. no one was injured thankfully
crews still out there, it'll be a 3-4 day job. tomorrow is an extreme fdr day here as well, and the other fire at goonoo is still not finished
