Today's DIY emergency job. No hot water in the house. Seems that the header tank was drained for some reason and when it refilled some air pockets in the pipes were preventing the hot water from flowing out of the immersion heater.
Basic technology to the rescue with a piece of hose connecting hot and cold taps to force the air out of the system :-)
Sometimes an online search genuinely helps 👏👏

Probably not worth the walk to the bottled water station as apparently they're being swamped. Will continue to rely on my dehumidifier!

At least it's more logical than the Great Covid Toilet Paper Rush, but all the same I do wonder about hoarders!
