A ★★★ review of Vacancy (2007)
A lot of the plot is driven by implausibility (that's not how VCRs work) but while you're watching it you don't care because Vacancy is so well-executed (in an albeit shallow way) that you only ask yourself how X, Y, and Z were possible after the movie ends. 85 breezy minutes as you know only as much as you need to about Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson's characters.
