The movement is growing. We’ve been told for far too long that there’s not ‘enough’, extreme-wealth is admirable, immigrants are enemies, women are second-class, POC and other marginalized folks are less-than.

for mykje, for billeg, for dårleg, for dyrt
for miljøet, for dyrt
for vatnet, for dyrt
for lufta, for dyrt

The "no-spend" trend is gaining steam

Americans are looking to tame their spending in response to overconsumption and persistent inflation.

Running around doing more #waymarking today, this time a bit closer to home. On days like this, when I have no #budget and I'm tempted to feel deprived, it's important for me to get out, look around my new digs, and get to know them better. I know that playing the high-tech equivalent of a photo scavenger hunt is pretty frivolous in the grand scheme of things, but it brings me small joys on difficult days. And it's a hobby that, if you already have a phone and Internet access, is essentially free. #NoSpend

Got up. Made myself a delicious hot beverage and ate a little cottage cheese. Kissed hubby (he's cute). Petted kittehs (they're cute too, but more fuzzy, so not as fun to kiss). Did some household chores. Picked up the mail. Did a little local #waymarking. Went to the #library and picked up a few books that caught my interest. Did some reading. Probably more social media than is good for me, but at least it's the fedi. Worked on my ongoing crochet project. We should eat soon; I have ingredients and plans to make aloo gobi tonight.

This has been my #NoSpend day so far. What do you do that's fun and costs you little or nothing?

Gonna try for a #NoSpend month. Exceptions being therapy and food.

Will start with a cupboard clean out and see how long I can live off my store cupboard.

My #finances are currently a disaster so hope this helps me realign.

One of the things I plan on doing in 2023 is a year of #NoSpend . (On things like craft supplies, pens, washi tape, etc.) I think a fun alternative could be a supply exchange type thing. Sending ink samples, washi samples, unused supplies. That way there is the feeling of *new* without actually buying more stuff.
