So, #HouseRabbit people in my orbit (or rather, that I am in the orbit of)...
George is still doing well. Better than well, in fact - as I said, you wouldn't even know he'd been sick. But I have a question...
George was released with prescriptions for metacam / meloxicam (NSAID, for inflammation) and Baytril / enrofloxacin (antibiotic). The antibiotic runs for another 12 days or so, but the metacam is done as of yesterday.
And George is full life today like we haven't seen in I don't know how long. More active, bouncing around, engaging in #nortiness (a la Penny), more #rabbitude, everything. We're not aware of anything else different, so we're assuming it's because he's come off the metacam - but how? Was it having a sedative effect on him?. I don't recall any of our other rabbits who needed metacam reacting this way, and as an NSAID, there's no obvious connection to this sort of effect.
Have any of you seen this sort of thing when your bunny was done with metacam?
