Last night along the river around dusk we came across a family of beavers starting their nocturnal day - 9 in total!

I'd seen their lodge and their impacts to the trees of the area but couldn't believe there were 9 of them just going about their business right in front of us.

The regional district says it was contacted by the Ministry of Environment after a semi-truck overturned north of Avola, around a two-hour drive north of Kamloops on Highway 5.
