Let me tell you, boys and girls, I’ve just about had it with re-positioning this glorious camper in the truck bed. This time it shifted backwards and to the right, and took the mat and plywood with it.
So the first thing we did tonight, after securing a spot at the Shady Rest RV park here in Houston, BC, was to jack up the camper and put it back straight and centered.

The campground we were aiming for this afternoon, Teslin Lake, was full when we drove through so we are parked in a rest area beside the Alaskan Highway in Teslin, Yukon.

We’re on the road!
Jeff, Hank, and I are hunkering down in our new truck camper in the Pelly Crossing Campground, just off the Klondike Highway.
It’s a nice and convenient campground. Free too! No services and the outhouses are old but fresh new gravels pads and roads!!
We are doing our absolute best to try to stay orderly in here, but a truck camper is not that big! I think it’ll take a couple days until everything finds its home.

Canada Day in Dawson City, and Vacation Prep!
The sun was HOT when we gathered to watch the parade yesterday! We stood near the corner of 5th and Church with our friends Kyle and Cerys.
After the parade, we went to Minto Park for cupcakes and refreshments. There was a free BBQ and then a whole afternoon of games and water events for the kids (until the skies opened and it POURED later in the afternoon).
