Which photo do you like? 1,2. I love our zoo and anyone kind enough to donate to @chesterzoo or any #animalpreservation organisations would be so appreciated by them I'm sure. I can't believe there are only 5,000 left of these amazing macaques left in the wild. Chester zoo is an amazing place to take photography and spend a day out with family, rain or shine, and all the animals are looked after so well.

Also this adorable little one decided to climb right up against the glass where I was, before climbing up and out of sight. so cute.

Yes I'm highjacking the #silentsunday and the #oscars2024 feed, I don't spam, and it's for a good reason.

New flying gecko species reveals hidden biodiversity of northern India

A new species of gliding gecko has been uncovered in northern India. Bearing the name of the Indian state it was discovered in, the Mizoram parachute gecko, or Gekko mizoramensis, is one of 14 geckos known to take to the air. While one specimen of the new species was collected more than 20 years ago, the differences from its relatives have only now been appreciated.

How a policy to address a groundwater shortage inadvertently increased air pollution in northern India

New research from Harvard University finds that a government policy that delayed rice planting in northwest India may have had an unintended consequence for air quality in the region. The policy, which was first adopted in 2008, required farmers to push back the sowing of rice to take advantage of monsoon rains and decrease the reliance on groundwater-fed irrigation systems.
