I've never seen a little flint cannon ball with a face before. Wondering if these egg shapes are common & I'm just not looking hard enough.

Part of me wants to tap it with a hammer. But, I'll probably leave my new friend alone.

We're on a similar geology to Grimes Graves in the UK (& not too far away from there) so flint nodules are everywhere. But, the new deep ploughed ridges, for potatoes, had turned up way more interesting stuff than usual. It was like inland beachcombing.

Becky spotted a leucistic male Pheasant! We’d never seen one before, it was roaming in the horse paddocks next to the site.
