Schon gewusst? Im Windebyer Noor wurden „Ostseeschnäpel“ zur Ansiedelung ausgesetzt. Die Fische werden auch als Maräne, Rindling oder (Ostsee-) Steinlachs bezeichnet, gehören zu den Lachsfischen und können bis zu 1,20 Meter lang werden. In Pommern fand er Eingang in die Sagen- und Märchenwelt. Ansiedlungsrogramme gibt es für die gefährdete Art seit den 1990er-Jahren.

In Limburg heeft hij inmiddels negen kleinschalige verzorgingstehuizen, waar het thuisgevoel en respect voor ouderen voorop staan. "Als iemand graag uitslaapt tot 11 uur, dan moet dat kunnen. Het is hun huis, wij ondersteunen."
