@sebwhatever I routinely enjoy visiting with other #ActuallyAutistic people at son’s #NonPublicSchool, group chats with #SpecialEducation parents, Rubik’s cubing competitions, employee resource groups. We’re everywhere! Unfortunately we’re often also invisible.

I discover other Autistic people by being vocal about my Autism. #AuDAR

@aspiedan I would offer that revealing to our children the effects of low #spoons is similar to showing them real #emotions, and learning it’s OK to have and express ourselves, particularly in trusted spaces and with trusted people. #Masking from them might suggest they must do the same.

I’ve seen the positive effect of expressing this when my son has been around others also having challenges at #NonPublicSchool.

@dyinglikeastar @peppernut I get to experience #autistictoautistic communication daily with my son. It can be frustrating for both of us, at times, but it’s also blissful too. He unwittingly helped me to discover my #autism and helps me #unmask as well. He similarly benefits from being in a #nonpublicschool with other #neurodivergent kids. It’s given him a #perspective on himself he’d never get from #gened. #actuallyautistic @actuallyautistic
