In order to accept AI-produced content, you must first dismiss the value of the human mind and assume most people aren't important.
Which, BTW, helps to explain why corporate managers and billionaires are excited about AI.

I'm re-reading Non-Player Character by @vicorva and it's as delightful and comforting to read as the first time, if not more so.
I can't remember if I knew I was autistic the first time I read it, but I see so much of myself in Tar and Rex. (And also bits in Arries. And Kenta. And Pauline. But that's unrelated to the autism and anxiety.)
Somehow, these characters feel more real and alive than most I read about. (Which could be slightly scary considering it's an isekai)

An NPC is a character in a game who is controlled by the game itself, rather than by a human player. The term originates from tabletop role-playing games, where the gamemaster or referee controls these characters. In video games, they are controlled by the game's artificial intelligence (AI).
