I did a half-assed job when I initially set up the new controller last year, so the bottom of the #C15’s dedicated screen was clipped at the bottom. It’s been raised by one notch, and the whole screen is now visible.
I don’t use Chrome, but #NonlinearLabs recommends it for displaying the C15’s internal web server. I updated to the latest version, and now it’s running in Full Screen mode.
Today’s task: one 24-voice C15 patch running up top, and another down below – all from the C15. Here we go!

1/3 Today’s challenge is to explore my #NonlinearLabs #C15’s new ability to accept polyphonic aftertouch via MIDI.
I have five keyboards that generate poly AT:
the new Native Instruments s88 mk3, a piano-length & action keyboard I bought last year just for this purpose,
The ASM Hydrasynth Deluxe, an organ-style synth keyboard with light action,
the Espressive E Osmose, with a unique key action all its own,
and two ROLI Seaboards … the rare 88 keywave Grand, and the smaller 2-octave RISE.

I used Stable Diffusion and some Photoshop compositing to make a signature card for a newly registered domain,
synthedelic.com. (I got synthedelia.com, too!)
Nothing there yet, and I still have some tweaks in mind for this … but I wanted to play show-and-tell.

(If you expand the image after opening it – it’s large – you can get rid of the aliasing.)
I created a tool for automatically discovering and installing #RAUC update bundles from attached block devices: https://crates.io/crates/caterpillar
I just released 0.1.0 as a first version with a very small set of features, but I'm really glad it is finally out there!
Big thanks go out to #nonlinearlabs for being so patient with this project and funding the work!

The filmmaker I’m working with is using a bunch of old footage from the late ’70s and early ’80s …
and he wants me to do cover versions of a couple of old funk tunes.
Last night, I set things up to do some vocoder work, so today I’ll be sounding like Mr. Roboto.
Here’s how it’s looking from my point of view … domo arigato!
More than 50 years ago, a friend handed me a pair of headphones, and said “you have to hear this.”
As I listened, I wondered why he thought it would interest me …
and then I heard Keith Emerson for the first time, playing his #Moog solo at the end of “Lucky Man.”
I clearly remember thinking “my god … *I* have to do *that*.”
The moment stayed with me. Today, I got a new poster, to go with another new inspiration.
Check out this spiffy trick built into my new synthesizer … when you start playing, it automatically records everything you do – even the patch setup!
• Permanent lossless recording of the digital output signal
• Hours of FLAC-compressed audio
• Browser-based graphical UI for review, playback and download
• The states of the synth engine along the time line can be restored (this is scary cool)
• Download of selected segments to the computer as WAV or FLAC files
