I wake up naturally w/ the light. We're in the time of year where that's starting to mean 5:30am. I don't know why, but I'm having so much more trouble with the heat this year than years past. Actually went "ugh" when I looked at my phone and saw 81 at 5:30. It's too hot for the pool even. #nolasky

I hadn't had Molly's pizza in a few weeks. This week's special is a vodka sauce with creole tomatoes on it. I picked up a slice for dinner. I also got a biscuit & dirty iced chai for breakfast. They serve that with whipped butter and a house made mixed berry jam.

It rained so hard the night a week or so ago that we had the tropical wavethat we had mud run off on the property. The last hurricane didn't even do that. It's been so dry since the mud has cracked. Then it rained a bit last night. #nolasky #photography

When I walked to yoga today, this was outside the door of Molly's. This evening I saw an Instagram notice from them that all four of the restaurants that Mason owns were closed today. Molly's and Turkey and the Wolf will be closed tomorrow. Clearly, someone has died. I have no idea who yet. #nolasky

I didn't have my phone with me because I was just taking my dog out to do his business, so no photo. I saw a very bright green anole on the wall just outside of my door a few minutes ago. That always makes me happy given how prominent the invasive brown ones have become. #nolasky
