I was a #KDE user for some time, then I briefly went to #GNOME and then I wanted to try something else. so driftWM and Niri I saw first;
#driftWM - for me turned out to be totally unusable. more time spent to place windows and to find them than actually doing work (and I am a magic #trackpad user, so IDK what was that. still have hopes I will give it another go)
for Niri - this my daily now, I was using it with #swaybar, but after some time and custom solutions switched to #noctalia shell. and it's not bad! some resources overhead, but otherwise cool. still using the swaylock with it though and not using many of its features.
and thanks for monitor-power-off action - will longer life of my corporate machine :)

der leise fuxXnoch 1/2/3 mal schlafen, dann ist #gpn24 in #karlsruhe *jubel jubel froi froi* schnell noch #noctalia und #niri auf meinem #thinkpad rausschmeißen und durch #dwl und #dwlb ersetzen 😇 Mensch will ja was zum basteln und frickeln haben für die Tage 🔥 hab schon richtig Bock! gleich geht's nochmal schnell in den lokalen #hackspace in #marburg ein paar #c3cat Kadsenohren mitnehmen und morgen früh dann meetup mit dem #LOC und vielleicht ein bisschen #LKW fahren 😇 das wird ein Spaß.

KanceptYeah, back to Fedora and Gnome. As nice as Cachy and Niri and Noctalia are, I just work too much with other RHEL systems daily to make this workflow change right now. It’s been a week and I’ve had so little time to even get basic things setup that just work out of the box in Fedora/gnome and elementaryOS/pantheon.
