That's quite the sign-off from Mat there! 😆 A proper case of decent idea but poor execution. The wonky nixie tubes shouldn't have passed QC really, and the knobs at the bottom left look a bit off to me as well. Also, it's a radio, it should sound decent.
I might have watched too much Technology Connections, as I immediately spotted that the nixie tubes weren't right. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, though, until I read someone else's comment that they'd missed out all of the other cathodes with the other numerals.
I've tried to photograph nixie tubes a number of times over the years. This is the best I've done.
