I can't imagine criticizing Shanahan OR the #Niners team itself for this loss. They played hard and didn't do stupid things. You could tell that they were running out of steam by the end of OT because they left it all on the field. Isn't that what it's all about?

I am proud of them and I look forward to next season.

#NFL Seeing a lot of hate towards #KyleShanahan because the #Niners lost. Move on. Perhaps being a Scot helps, we have #KingRobertTheBruce to remember how to handle defeat. Even after the many lost battles during #WarsOfScottishIndependence he didn’t give up, the tide eventually turned and he kept going right up to #Bannockburn. Former 49ers tight end Russ Francis passed away on Sunday at the age of 70. He was killed in a plane crash in upstate New York. Francis played with the 49ers from 1982-87 and earned a Super Bowl ring with the team as a part the '84 squad that finished 18-1 en route to winning Super Bowl XIX.
