[NSM] has a minilexicon of 65 semantic primes or “atoms of meaning” (e.g., “good” and “bad,” “do” and “happen”) and 50 or so universal “semantic molecules” (e.g., “man,” “woman,” and “child”; “fire” and “water”) and a minigrammar.

NSM & BASIC ENGLISH

I'm now looking if a paper exists bridging BASIC ENGLISH and Natural Semantic Metalanguage

Ogden defined 20 000 English words in BASIC ENGLISH

if you can define all 850 BASIC ENGLISH CONCEPTS into the 65 semantic primes of NSM you would be pretty close of closing the semantic map of the English language ...

toot ! 🐘
