I had my first encounter with a retail #PennyPolicy today. I don't think these are going to go over very well... at all!

A regional coffee shop chain no longer takes - or gives - #pennies as #cash at the register. Each customer's total bill, after taxes, is rounded to the nearest #nickle.

If the last digit comes out to less than 3 #cents , they round down to zero. If it comes out as 3 or more cents, it gets rounded up a notch.

Paying by #card? They charge you the 'correctly calculated' total.
