Collaborative project on governance issues relating to new genomic techniques

The interdisciplinary collaborative project ALIGN will establish a research framework to systematically address the legal, ethical and societal issues surrounding new genomic techniques (NGT) in plant breeding. The University of Bayreuth is responsible for the overall coordination of the project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.

How do children find meaning in the visual information availble in #NGT signs and does it change over time? We use data from tens of thousands of primary school children in the Netherlands to track such things while they are learning. This gives us really cool insights into how learning differs from one-off experiments.

Next week, I get to present our findings at the DEPICT-Workshop in Bergen. My first time in Norway and I am super excited to chat with lots of people! Any tips for the visit?
